This is one of the English songs we sing. The poem it was based upon was written by Robert Burns, and was also the inspiration for the title and climax of the book The Catcher in the Rye. The arranger of our version is Harry Simeone.
Comin' Through The Rye
By Harry Simeone

She's a comin' through the rye
If a body meets a body, comin' through the rye
If a body kiss a body, need a body cry?
Every lassie has her laddie, none they say has she!
But all lads smile, when comin' through the rye.
